OBDLink CX Bimmercode Bluetooth 5.1 OBD2 Adapter for BMW/Mini, Works with iPhone/iOS & Android, Car Coding, OBD II Diagnostic Scanner

I’ve been using the OBDLink CX for a couple of weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed. I mainly bought it to use with BimmerCode for my BMW, and it works perfectly. The connection is quick and stable, and I haven’t had any issues with disconnects or lag, even during extended use. Now I have Bimmerlink as well.What I really like is how compact it is. Once it's plugged in, you barely notice it’s there. It doesn't get in the way at all, and I feel comfortable just leaving it connected full-time. Pairing it with my phone was also very straightforward — it connected right away without any complicated setup.The coding process felt smooth and safe, which was important to me since I’m not a tech expert. It gave me confidence to make small tweaks to my car without worrying about messing something up.Overall, it does exactly what I hoped it would. It’s fast, reliable, and easy to use — a solid purchase I’d recommend to anyone looking for a dependable OBD2 tool specialized for BMW.Now I have auto folding side mirror, digital speed indicator, turn off I-drive when door is opened. Got smarter Bimmer now and more fun to drive.

This OBD scanner turned out to be a real game-changer! It was super easy to connect to the OBDLink app. But when I tried to use it with my Chevy Bolt and ABRP, it wouldn’t connect. Turns out, ABRP on my iPhone was set to have Bluetooth off by default. As soon as I changed the setting, it worked like a charm! ABRP updates really fast, and the connection has been solid ever since.

You will need to spend the additional $39.99 for the BimmerLink app. The free software is not terribly helpful for much. Once I bought the Bimmerlink app it did exactly what I needed and was very intuitive. I had to replace the drive cables on the dual sunroof. Of course the actual work was not hard enough without a plethora of trouble codes. I also removed the seats to do a hot water extraction deep cleaning. The triggered error codes which came up for both seats every time I started the car. The Bimmerlink app showed me the trouble codes, identified them as one time codes that were stored. It said that basically the ECU saw this error once but does not see it now. It gave me a little more confidence in placing them in the trash can. Not sure if I did something wrong but I did have to delete the Restraint fault codes twice for some reason. I was afraid they were still being triggered and were going to keep come up. But the second time did the trick and the error codes are gone.The app also has quite an array of parameters it will read. Likely much more than your average owner will ever need. If you leave this unit plugged in, one you won't have to remember where you left it when you need it, but also you only have to open the app and connect to quickly read any error codes.This tool is absolutely money well spend.

Pugged his into my 22 ioniq 5Amazing amount of info. Lists highest voltage and lowest voltage cells. Reoprts on modules. Watt hrs of charge. Info on 12 volt system. Needs an app on your phone

I purchased this because the VEEPEAK was draining my 4-series’ battery when I left it connected to use whenever I wanted to use any of the awesome BimmerCode software or others. So I replaced the car battery and used this for a few weeks. However, I was disappointed to see that the only thing this does to lower its power drain is use older versions of the bluetooth standard in its software, and not all that successfully, either. It’s slower than current versions of the Bluetooth standard, which makes coding changes very sloooooow. If you are buying this for the first time, you may not learn that it’s slower than other obd scanners, so be careful that you know what is out there. Otherwise, it does seem to fix the battery drain that comes from keeping it in place.

The media could not be loaded. I plugged the OBDLink CX into an extension cable in my 2022 BMW 430i xdrive convertible to perform some diagnostics and coding with my Bimmer link apps. This was so simple to automatically pair and allowed G series coding without any issues. Very stable connection. I first tried a competing brand, which was a disaster.I can highly recommend this product.

This thing is extremely easy to understand and use. Paired with BimmerCode app, it is essentially if you want to change some of the vehicle configurations (default drive mode, start/stop default or memory, active sound design can be configured or turned off, etc...). Works for BMW clones as well (works flawless with my M3 and mk5 Supra).
